Bob and the Trees

Inspired by the life of his friend Bob Tarasuk, a farmer and logger in rural Massachusetts, filmmaker Diego Ongaro created BOB & THE TREES as a loving tribute to the lives of those communities sustaining themselves through small scale farming and logging in the modern era. Though narrative in nature, Ongaro chose to populate the film with non-professional actors in the form of with Mr. Tarasuk, his son-in-law Matthew Gallagher and a bevy of local townsfolk. This choice lends a naturalistic air to the dry New England humor that permeates throughout.
