Beyond All Boundaries
In a country obsessed with the sport of cricket in a way that is perhaps only paralleled by soccer in Brazil, we follow the powerful stories of three remarkable but ordinary Indians - Sudhir, a 30-year old homeless superfan known around the country for having never missed an India cricket match in the past ten years, as he cycles thousands of kilometers to follow the team; Akshaya, an 18-year old girl who lives in a Mumbai slum as she competes in the tryouts for the Mumbai Under-19 girls' cricket team - in a country where women's sports are entirely ignored; and Prithvi, a 12-year old cricket prodigy who faces the tremendous pressure of being the top hopeful for India's cricketing future while dealing with an overly ambitious father. The three riveting stories reveal life in modern India with all its struggle and aspiration. In the background we capture the drama as underdog India wins its first World Cup in 28 years.
