Betrayed

Kim Hunter and Robert Mitchum star in this drama of a desperate young bride who travels to New York searching for her husband. There she meets a former suitor who offers to help, but by whom she is Betrayed. Millie Baxter (Hunter) gets a telegram from her new husband, Paul (Dean Jagger). She travels to New York City to help, but cannot find him. There she meets Fred Graham (Mitchum), who offers to help. Then, when she gets a call from her husband begging her to help him run from the law, she is torn between the husband accused of murder whom she loves but barely knows... and the charming former suitor who offers to help. Now, as Millie learns more about these two men, she discovers which is guilty of murder--and must find evidence to prove what she knows without losing her own life first.
