Barrio Brawler

Carlos teaches kickboxing to kids, but he has been losing business. His ex-wife, Vanessa, left him because he couldn’t provide for her and their son. To keep his business afloat, he goes to his brother, Ricky, a successful bartender connected to the underworld, to ask for $10,000. Ricky tells Carlos that he can secure a loan from Morales, a crime lord, if Carlos enters an underground pit fighting tournament. Carlos agrees, and Ricky decides to join him, enticed by the promised winnings. The first few rounds go well, but when Ricky faces Chuy, a giant undefeated fighter, his arm is broken. Short on cash, Ricky cuts cocaine in order to make ends meet. But when Morales and his henchman, Ruiz, catch Ricky, they hold him hostage, demanding that Carlos throw his next fight so they can bet against him. Carlos must choose between saving his brother and winning the money he desperately needs.
