Abandoned as a baby in Los Angeles, Marquise Lewis is now a young man living in Australia. Uncertain of any truths to the big questions that plague him about his past, he has found an escape in basketball. Reluctant to let anyone in, he chooses to play alone. During summer break, a persistent homeless man claiming a shared love for basketball disrupts his solitude. An unlikely friendship develops, Marquise finds himself charmed and pushed beyond his comfort both on and off the court. He’s entangled in the highly energetic street basketball scene and experiencing the game like never before. Throughout the summer, Marquise discovers answers both touching and tragic, as basketball becomes more than a game.
