As I Open My Eyes

Music has the power to move people; it also has the power to lead political movements. Drawing inspiration from their daily lives, a rock band's charged lyrics draw the attention of the local police as the Arab Spring nears in the country of Tunisia. Farah (Baya Medhaffer), the lead singer of the band, knows she is playing with fire but continues to appear with the group despite warnings from a number of sources including her mother. When Farah goes missing, her bandmates and her family fear the worst, as they begin an extensive search for this passionate performer.
