Action Man

A retired criminal is looking for a little action when a former friend appears and suggests that they rob a bank. Denis Farrand (Jean Gabin) had retired from the life and taken up reputable work as a bar owner. That said, it does not take much coxing from Jim Beckley (Robert Stack) to convince Denis to raid the bank next door to his club. The heist is a huge success, as they are able to steal 500 million francs, but that kind of money is bound to draw attention. When a drug dealer who was hot on Jim's tail hears about their score, he kidnaps Denis's wife and hold her hostage, hoping to receive a sizable ransom for her safe return.
