A Safari Romance
A Hallmark Channel original movie. Megan has spent most of her adult life in pursuit of one goal – achieving her PhD so she could travel to the most exotic corners of the world to research wildlife on a fast track for extinction. A passionate advocate for conservation, she chooses South Africa as her first destination to study the big cats (tawny lions, white lions, leopards and cheetahs). In pursuit of her dream, she works as a part-time ranger at Ukubuyele Endle reserve in KwaZulu-Natal. While there, she meets a theme park designer, Tim. Tim is a businessman from the U.S. and is utterly clueless when it comes to wildlife. His focus is on the latest technology and finding creative ways to film animals in the wild. When Megan meets him, he seems charming enough but when she discovers him flying a drone, she confronts him, tells him drones are illegal on the reserve, and requires him to ground the drone. This doesn’t go over well with Tim. Megan walks away from the encounter assuming this will be the end of any further interactions with Tim – that is, until she discovers that the owner of the reserve, Nozizwe, has paired her to work with him to do research for his theme park. Reluctant at first, she agrees and they set out on safari. As they view majestic animals and experience the magic of beautiful sunsets and starry nights together, sparks start to fly.
