A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square

Richard Jordan is a non too bright American ex con Pinky Green who mistakenly lands a job with a prominent bank in London because of the mindless bumbling of his parole officer. Much to his amazement, his employers promote him to maintenance chief. An old cohort of Pinky s, mobster Ivan the Terrible (David Niven), thinks Pinky is planning a big heist and wants in on the action. Pinky gets duped which sets up a series of devilishly ironic plot twists and some delirious comedy along the way to robbing the bank. The film is based on a real life bank robbery in London s Mayfair, one of the biggest in history.
