When the Sky Falls

Jamie MacLeod is an ozone researcher whose obsession with his career has cost him his marriage, but hasn’t earned him the respect he feels his boss owes him.A weekend at the family cabin with his two teenagers, Liam and Kylie, and his ex-wife, Charlotte, gets off to a rocky start when he shows up with his new girlfriend, Megan. A few hours later a deadly lightning-storm strikes the region while Jamie is on a hike with Kylie, Liam is dirt biking, and Charlotte and Megan remain stewing alone at the cabin. When Jamie is injured by a lightning strike, he realizes the patterns of this freak storm are exactly what he predicted from his ozone research project. Frantic for the safety of his family, he also realizes he must contact his office with crucial feedback to warn the public of the storm’s unprecedented magnitude.
