Waterski Wounds

S1 E4: On a beautiful September day in Duqoin, Illinois, Jessica Ervin was going for her final jump in a collegiate water-skiing competition. When she hit the top of the 5-foot ramp, everything went wrong. The handle bar caught around her neck, dragging her underwater, severing her epiglottis and ripping the inside of her larynx from its cartilage, filling her throat with blood.
