The Birth of Industry

S1 E2: Tony Robinson walks through the glorious Peak District to reveal how Britain transformed itself from a nation of farmers into the industrial powerhouse of the world. He visits the site of the world's first factory and the building that would lay the foundations for today's skyscrapers. Later, he operates a huge steam-winding engine that's been working since 1829.
