My Kitchen Rules UK
S03
S3 E3:
Michelin-starred chef, Glynn Purnell, and cooking legend, Rachel Allen, present a new series of My Kitchen Rules UK. They will be judging 20 pairs of ambitious and enterprising amateur cooks who open their own restaurant at home for one night, in a bid to scoop the £10,000 prize and the right to say, ‘My Kitchen Rules.’ My Kitchen Rules UK is about real people with a passion for cooking. Cooking against the clock, teams of two prepare and serve a three-course restaurant standard meal for their rival teams and the judges to experience and score. Dishes served late will have points taken off. As the competition heats up the strongest teams will go through to the MKR Mansion where their culinary skills will be put to the test by some of the UK’s best-known chefs and culinary gurus. The strongest teams will make it Kitchen Headquarters where they will cook-off against each other in a series of challenges that will see one team crowned MKR UK champions. Which team has the flair, finesse, and fine dining menu to set them apart from the rest? Tonight in the North, sisters-in-law, Yee Kwan and Natalie have five hours to shop, prep and cook a three-course meal for their rival teams and the judges to taste and critique. Their themed restaurant is ‘Buddha’s Bowl’ taking their guests on a tour of the Far East. But will their menu of Pan Fried Spiced Beef and Chive Dumplings, Monkfish King Prawn Laksa served with Yellow Egg Noodles and Spring Onion Flatbread and Yuzu Tart with Blueberry Coulis impress or fail at the first hurdle?
