My Kitchen Rules UK
S03
S3 E4:
Michelin starred chef Glynn Purnell and the Queen of Irish cooking Rachel Allen present a new series of My Kitchen Rules UK. They will be judging 20 pairs of enterprising and inspired amateur cooks who open their own home restaurant for one ambitious night, in a bid to scoop the £10,000 prize and the right to say, ‘My Kitchen Rules.’ My Kitchen Rules UK is about real people with a real passion for food. Teams of two cook a three-course restaurant standard meal against the clock for their rival teams and the judges to experience and score. Dishes served late will be penalised. All 20 teams representing four regions of the UK are called to Kitchen Headquarters to meet the judges and size up their competitors. Once assembled, the judges explain the stakes – the lowest-scoring team from each region will be eliminated, so every team needs to hit the ground running. The penultimate team to cook for the two judges and their rival teams are Lancashire friends, Bill, and Graham, whose aptly named restaurant the ‘Lancashire Lounge’, will serve up the kind of no-nonsense food they love to eat. The boys are talking the talk but will they deliver with their menu of Fish Goujons with Wild Salad & Lime Mayonnaise; Lambs Liver, Smoked Bacon, Wilted Greens, Creamed Potatoes & Onion Gravy; and Fruit Jelly Tartlets with Chantilly Cream?
