Pilot

S1 E1: Jim Longworth left the big city of Chicago after a run-in with his superiors there and now works for the Florida State Police. He was recently assigned to the smaller town of Sugarloaf to work with that city's police department. If you met Longworth, you would be struck by his humor and charm. It is this natural charisma and unassuming nature that makes witnesses calm enough to remember all the details and murder suspects comfortable enough to confess to him. In the pilot, the body of a woman is found in the river that runs through the Sugarloaf State Preserve. Based on his investigation, Longworth figures out that the unlikely killer is actually his partner on the police force. In series, by virtue of his position in the State Police, Longworth will encounter a wide array of cases and will always use his wit and charm as a tool to solve them - all the while searching for a new partner and nurturing a new relationship with Callie, a local nurse and her 10 year-old son.
