S1 E2:
Jesper Berg insures journalist Thomas Eriksen that the Russian presence is in no way is an occupation. It's only about an energy policy cooperation. During a medal ceremony May 17th a young guardsman attempts to shoot Russian ambassador Irina Sidorova. HM saves her at the last second. The Russians see the assassination attempt as a declaration of war and arrest the soldier. The situation escalates and military forces are ready for fight on both sides. HM interrogates the soldier, Stefan Christensen, and understands that he has acted on his own terms. He manages therefore to eventually convince the ambassador that this is an isolated incident and not a declaration of war from the Norwegian military, and terminates a very tense situation. Sidorova is deeply impressed with him.Bente has had to give up the entire business, but on May 17th a Russian company wants to rent the restaurant. The company is very pleased and Bente sees a chance for better times, but on the way home from the restaurant one of the Russian guests is brutally run down and killed by a car.
