La sombra del diablo

S1 E6: Madrid, 2013: María, under her identity as Mercedes Dantés, keeps investigating her family to discover how they rebuilt their lives so easily in her absence. This feeds her rage and pushes her to train her body harder, as well as her skill with weapons. The day of her vengeance is approaching. Madrid, 2001: María and Juan wait for Roberto to bring the convent documents that reveal the stolen babies business. But Roberto is run over before their meeting and the documents disappear. María and Juan, but also Alfredo Palomar, instigated by Enrique, have to find where the documents are hidden. Who will get them first? If they fall on Enrique's hands, everything would have been for nothing. María, desperate, distrusts her family and seeks solace in Juan. But can María really trust him? Meanwhile, Luisa wants to get María back and organizes a family party, inviting even her granny. But the party doesn't go as expected, as María charges against her adoptive family while she would do anything for Fernanda, even paying for a very expensive rehab clinic.
