Incident of the Reluctant Bridegroom

S5 E10: Rowdy Yates drinks a considerable quantity of doped beer and wakes up the next morning to find himself married. After loading some supplies in town, Rowdy Yates drops by the town's leading saloon, owned by prominent John Landy. At Rowdy's invitation, Sheila Delancey, Landy's girl friend, joins him for a moment's conversation. Bert the bartender is acutely aware of his employer's possessive attitude toward Sheila and surreptitiously drops a mickey into the pair's beer. Unfortunately, before the knockout drops can take effect, Rowdy and Sheila pour out their loneliness to each other and then persuade Sam Weber, a wanted cowboy posing as a frontier parson, to marry them. Finding himself an unexpected bridegroom next morning is only part of Rowdy's problem: he still faces Gil Favor's wrath when he takes his wife with him to the trail drive. (TV-PG)
