Hotel Standoff

S1 E2: Dallas SWAT team Negotiator Jake "JD" Byas faces the toughest challenge of his career. As the primary negotiator in a barricaded person operation, JD takes the reins. When the suspect holes himself up in a hotel room and refuses to come out, JD manages to secure him on the phone. JD soon realizes he is dealing with a drug-dealing murder suspect whose girlfriend just left him. The suspect has a loaded handgun and is suicidal. JD's abilities are put to the test as he attempts to defuse a human time bomb. In another neighborhood in Dallas, SWAT team member Terigi Rossi works a narcotics bust. Terigi and his team surround a home in a residential neighborhood. The suspect inside is a young woman dealing drugs out of her home. Surveillance footage reveals one unusual detail about the location... the possibility of an 18-month old infant in the home. The SWAT team has no choice but to temper its aggressive tactics. Terigi, armed with this information, goes in. After a stressful day on the job, JD unwinds by drinking a beer with his girlfriend Rhonda and hanging out with his dogs. Terigi does the opposite. Instead of going home, Terigi clocks in the overnight shift at one of his many second jobs. Terigi is one of those rare individuals who does not tire easily. Week after week, Terigi works countless extra jobs so he can provide the best for his sons and stay-at-home wife. One night, he decides to surprise his wife, Grace, and their two boys with something they would never suspect.
