When hospital nurse Amy Kettering's (Molly Parker, Deadwood) 9-year-old daughter Emily is kidnapped, she receives a chilling call instructing her to kill a recently admitted patient being held under police protective custody. Haunted by the past assault that has emotionally scarred her, broken up her marriage, and now threatens the custody and safety of her daughter, Amy decides to disregard the kidnappers' demands and find Emily on her own. Fighting past her traumatic memories, she races to rescue her child, along the way uncovering a larger plot that involves top city officials and corrupt cops.
