Confiscation

S1 E2: Ali bin Abdullah makes Khorasan the centre for the Abbasid cause due to its distance from the Umayyad capital. The Umayyad princes are displeased at Caliph Omar’s confiscation of their money, returning it to the royal treasury despite it being in their possession before his succession to the Caliphate.
