S1 E1: Around 1200 BC, Fu Hao, the daughter of a leading lord, was sent to the Shang capital of Dayishang for an arranged marriage to the dynasty's ruler, Wu Ding. Determined not to be one of the king's faceless marriage trophies, Hao demonstrated that she was truly different from his many other queens and soon became his most trusted advisor and top general. But how did she do it? Using recent archeological discoveries and artifacts found in her tomb, we piece together the story of a remarkable warrior queen from China's first dynasty.
